What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer/Prepper position at Custom Finishing Inc.?
We’re Hiring: Prepper / Laborer — A Future Finisher in the Making Custom Finishing — Forest Lake, MN
Some work can be automated. Finishing high‑end, custom‑made cabinetry isn’t one of them. If you’re an avid Tetris player who can stack a truckload like a puzzle master… If your gift‑wrapping skills make people ask, “How did you do that?”… If you enjoy turning rough surfaces into smooth perfection with the power of elbow grease…You might be exactly who we’re looking for. Custom Finishing provides high‑quality cabinetry and millwork finishing for residential and commercial projects. We value craftsmanship, reliability, and teamwork — and we’re looking for a dependable Prepper / Laborer who wants to grow into a skilled finisher over time. This is hands‑on work in a small, high‑standards shop where finishing is still a human craft. It’s the subtle read of grain direction, the feel of a surface that’s “almost there,” the ability to mix stain by hand and know exactly when it needs one more drop of raw umber. If that kind of work speaks to you, keep reading.
