- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to service calls for breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Documentation: Accurately complete repair orders, logs, and maintenance records.
- Compliance: Ensure all repairs and maintenance comply with DOT and safety regulations.
- Communication: Collaborate with dispatch and fleet managers to coordinate repairs and report progress.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and organize tools, parts, and equipment in the service vehicle.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, air brakes, and electrical systems.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain one within 90 days.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Availability for on-call shifts and emergency roadside repairs.
- Must have own tools
- Medical Card
Preferred:
- ASE Certification(s) in Diesel Engines, Brakes, or Electrical Systems.
- Experience working on trailers or waste management vehicles.
- Some welding experience on aluminum
- High school diploma or equivalent.
