Description:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance to join our team at a busy steel fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for keeping all equipment and machinery in safe and efficient working condition, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
· Diagnose and repair issues with fabrication equipment including hoists, welders, forklifts, presses, saws, and other machinery
· Perform regular preventive maintenance and inspections
· Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records
· Order and manage parts and supplies inventory
· Work with shop management to schedule downtime and repairs
· Follow all safety procedures and ensure equipment meets compliance standards
· Occasionally assist with building and facility maintenance
Requirements:
· Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or mechanical maintenance
· Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
· Experience repairing hoists, forklifts, welders, and fabrication machinery
· Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and blueprints
· Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
· Basic computer skills for recordkeeping
· Welding experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
