JOB DESCRIPTION: DRAFTSMAN
Summary/Objective
The Draftsman position will create and alter construction sketches and drawings. Ongoing drawing focused collaboration with project manager, shop floor employees and management team at CCF. Is responsible for the printing and delivering drawings to the correct team member in a timely manner as well as management and organization of all CCF and customer drawings.
Essential Functions

Creating accurate CAD or SOLID WORKS drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits.
Seamlessly integrating and working with project managers, design consultants, and sub-contractors, to produce and alter drawings.
Thinking creatively and critically to support the project team in the design process, to create sketches and drawings that work.
Creating and continually updating project drawings lists.
Printing various formats of drawing sets for project managers and site superintendents.
Systematically saving sketches and drawings on our CAD server; keeping the server organized; updating project folders and files as jobs progress and revisions are made.
Exhaustively reviewing and checking sketches and drawings for errors, before being sent to architects, sub-contractors, project managers,etc.
Seeking clarity and understanding from engineers and project managers when you are not 100% certain of something.
Organizing and uploading drawings to web-based storage sites/collaboration project sites to share drawings with project manager and subcontractors.
Create, edit, and update standard details for use in project.
Work Environment
The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas and/or customer job site locations (MSHA) that require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, mandatory hearing protection, steel toed shoes, and possible safety training for some customers’ locations. On a typical work day, the employee will be exposed to ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.

Individuals will sit or stand as needed. The position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periods throughout the day. The employee may reach above shoulder heights or below the waist or lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required. For customer job site visits, employee may be required to ascend to heights for measurements.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time salaried position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday . Hours shall be set upon hire.
