Duties

• Safely operate different types of delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws.
• Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, ensuring safe lifting practices.
• Plan and follow optimized delivery routes using mobile devices to maximize efficiency while maintaining punctuality.
• Load cargo securely in compliance with weight handling guidelines, ensuring the safety of all items during transit.
• Deliver packages directly to customers’ locations with professionalism, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and incident reports as required by company policies.
• Assist with warehouse operations when necessary, including moving inventory and organizing stock for efficient dispatch.

Experience

• Prior experience in delivery driving or courier roles is preferred; familiarity with route driving and commercial truck driving is a plus.
• Warehouse experience or background in warehouse operations enhances your ability to handle manual handling tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques, manual transmission vehicles, and material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to traffic regulations, DOT standards, and safe lifting practices consistently.
• Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients during deliveries.
• Experience operating mobile devices for route navigation and communication is desirable.
• Valid driver’s license suitable for the vehicle type you will operate (including driver designation if applicable).

Pay: $23.72 - $28.57 per hour
