Job Title: Independent Construction Contractor

The Opportunity:

Custom Construction is seeking a highly experienced, independent construction professional to partner with us on ongoing projects. We are looking for a skilled tradesperson who can take ownership of a job site, problem-solve effectively, and deliver high-quality results from start to finish. Ideal candidates will require minimal supervision and have a proven track record of managing construction tasks independently.

Scope of Work:

• Perform high-quality work with a primary focus on framing and roofing, as well as siding.
• Manage general labor tasks, demolition, site cleanup, and debris removal.
• Ensure all project tasks are completed according to Michigan building codes.

Contractor Requirements:

• Location & Travel: The majority of our projects are located in Manistee County. You must be able to commute to and work in the Manistee County, MI area each day.
• Experience: Extensive, hands-on experience in framing, roofing, and siding.
• Equipment: You must provide your own professional tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Reliable transportation (a truck is highly preferred) is required.
• Communication: A reliable cell phone is required to coordinate with our team and ensure smooth project sequencing.
• Independence: While you maintain control over your own methods, you must be able to align your site presence with our standard operational windows (7:00 AM to 6:00 PM) to meet critical project milestones.

Job Details:

• 1099 Independent Contractor position.
• Must be prepared to provide proof of necessary contractor insurance and a completed W-9 prior to starting work.
