What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator position at Custom Concrete Cutting?
Responsibilities:
As an Operator, you are responsible for operating equipment to cut and haul concrete at customer job sites. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare job site as needed to eliminate hazards
- Operate concrete saws and other equipment
- Remove concrete and properly dispose
- Clean job site of all slurry, tools, equipment, and garbage
- Assist in maintaining tools and equipment
- Assist in small to medium concrete pour backs
- Load and unload trucks
- Communicate with team, customers, and other contractors
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Strong work ethic
- Must be reliable and dependable – regular full time schedule is M-F 7:30am – 4:30pm but can vary based on customer needs.
- Ability to work in team environment
- Demonstrates respectful and professional conduct in all interactions
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs repeatedly
- Ability to work in typical construction environment with exposure to the elements, noise, and other job site hazards
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Required to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Ability to successfully complete background check based on customer requirements (i.e. for military and government projects)
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to obtain DOT medical card
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
