Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Cleaning Technician to provide exceptional cleaning services across a diverse portfolio, including residential homes, commercial facilities, and specialized move-in/move-out properties. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. General Cleaning & Maintenance (Residential & Commercial)
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping all types of flooring and surfaces.
- Sanitize and disinfect high-touch areas (e.g., door handles, light switches, countertops, phones).
- Clean and maintain restrooms, ensuring fixtures (toilets, sinks, tubs, showers) and surfaces are sanitized and fully stocked with supplies.
- Clean and maintain kitchen/breakroom areas, including sinks, countertops, and appliances (exterior and interior of microwaves/refrigerators as needed).
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, window sills, and blinds.
- Empty trash bins, replace liners, and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Clean interior glass surfaces, mirrors, and windows.
2. Specialized & Deep Cleaning (Move In/Move Out & Deep Cleans)
- Execute thorough deep cleaning procedures required for move-in/move-out services, often involving intense scrubbing and attention to overlooked areas.
- Clean interior of all major appliances (ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines/dryers).
- Clean inside cabinets, drawers, and closets.
- Scrub and sanitize grout, tiles, and baseboards throughout the property.
- Perform carpet spot treatment or operate industrial equipment for carpet shampooing/extracting (if applicable).
- Wash walls, ceilings, and light fixtures as required for a full turnover.
3. Equipment & Safety
- Safely operate and maintain professional cleaning equipment (vacuums, carpet cleaners, floor polishers, etc.).
- Select, mix, and use appropriate cleaning chemicals and agents for various surfaces, strictly adhering to safety and handling protocols.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any maintenance issues, needed repairs, or damaged items immediately to a supervisor.
- Ensure all cleaning tools and supplies are cleaned, organized, and restocked after each shift.
4. Client and Professional Conduct
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly demeanor when interacting with clients, property managers, and tenants.
- Follow specific work orders and cleaning checklists for each property with exceptional attention to detail.
- Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within established timeframes without compromising quality.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience in professional cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial services (residential and/or commercial experience is a strong plus).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between job sites.
- Physical ability to perform all cleaning duties, including lifting/moving up to 40 lbs, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and the safe use of various cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing cleaning needs.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 – 40 per week
