OVERVIEW: We are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistants to join our team. This is a part-time contractor position with a rotating schedule and two days off every week; reliable weekly pay (between 20-30 hours weekly). Hourly rate is dependent upon experience $11-15 per hour. Must be 18 years or older to apply and able to work mornings, afternoons and weekends . Hours of operation vary from 6-11:30am and 1:30pm-7pm each day. Applicants must be available to work immediately and maintain reliable transportation. *Please note, we do require team members to work holidays unless requested in advance.*

Responsibilities :
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
- Assist with dog training and socialization activities as needed.
- Handle animals safely and effectively, employing proper restraint techniques when necessary.
- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners during drop-off and pick-up times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in kennel work or animal care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of dog handling techniques and animal behavior is essential.
- Experience in veterinary settings (veterinary technician or assistant) is a plus.
- Skills in pet grooming or pet sitting are highly valued.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for animal handling and cleaning tasks.
