What are the responsibilities and job description for the Refrigeration Technician position at CUSTOM APPLE PACKERS?
Refrigeration Trainee
Responsible for:
-Testing & repairing cold storage rooms at the Quincy warehouse, Quincy Valley Fruit, and (on occasion, as needed) Wenatchee-area cold storage facilities
-Responsible for the maintenance and operation of refrigeration and atmospheric equipment
Qualifications:
-Safety-minded
-Be able to read, write, and speak English
-Be certifiable on a respirator and self-contained breathing apparatus
-Able to work in confined spaces
-Ability to work safely and comfortably from heights
-General knowledge of facility maintenance
Due to the on-call and emergency response responsibilities of this position, candidates residing in Quincy or within 40 miles of the Quincy facility will be considered. Candidates living outside this area must be willing to relocate within an agreed-upon timeframe.
Compensation and benefits:
$22–$35 per hour DOE, plus applicable longevity increases. Medical, dental, vision, holiday pay, 401(k), and other benefits available.
