We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and component inspections to prevent future failures.
- Conduct field service visits to client sites, ensuring timely resolution of HVAC-related problems while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs requiring mechanical fabrication or modifications.
- Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems including pipe fitting and ammonia refrigeration handling where applicable.
- Document all service activities thoroughly in work orders and reports, ensuring clear communication of issues found and work completed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician with a strong background in construction, appliance repair, or property maintenance.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration (a plus), HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately; familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters is essential.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair, welding, boiler operation, and general maintenance tasks.
- Field service experience demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot complex systems efficiently on-site.
- Strong understanding of plumbing principles related to HVAC installations; experience with driver license preferred for site access.
