Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Elementary School Counselor to support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development of students in grades K�5. The ideal candidate will build meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families while implementing a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group counseling to support students' social-emotional and behavioral needs
• Deliver classroom guidance lessons on topics such as emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and character development
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
• Assist in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans and MTSS processes
• Respond to crisis situations and provide appropriate support and referrals
• Promote a positive school climate and contribute to a culture of respect and inclusion
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records
• Connect families with community resources and support services

• Participate in school and district teams and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Counseling or related field
• Valid Colorado School Counselor License or ability to obtain
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
• Experience with MTSS and trauma-informed practices
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Commitment to working in a rural school setting and engaging with the community

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Range is $ 50,172 - 61,552
