What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Shift Bundle Assembler position at CUST-O-FAB?
The Bundle Assembler must be able to work well with others as part of a team. They should be self-motivated, reliable, and willing to work more than 40 hours when needed. The employee must be able to work quickly while always following safety rules and making safety the top priority. They should be willing to listen, learn from others, and complete tasks efficiently without lowering the quality of their work.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- At least 6 months of experience assembling ACHE bundles.
- Basic ability to read and understand engineering prints and correctly apply the information.
Bundle Setup and Assembly
- Assemble side frames and tube supports
- Insert tubes
- Install strip spacers
- Install tube keepers
Bundle Disassembly
- Understand that work cannot begin on a pressure vessel that has been in service until it has been inspected and cleared by the Safety Department
- Learn and safely use a cutting torch

Physical requirements
Employees will be required to sit, stand, walk, twist, kneel and crouch for extended periods and in all seasons. Employees will also use their hands and arms in repeated motions and occasionally work in elevated positions. Employees may be required to safely lift items up to 50 pounds. Employees may work in high noise levels and near exposed fumes or particles, thus must be able to wear required PPE.
