Duties

• Perform TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on various metals, including sheet metal, ductwork, and pipe components, ensuring adherence to blueprints and schematics.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols accurately to guide fabrication processes.
• Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble metal parts.
• Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills to verify dimensions and tolerances meet specifications.
• Apply welding techniques in compliance with ASME codes & standards for manufacturing and construction projects.
• Assist with rigging, crane operations, pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly tasks as needed on-site or in the workshop.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols related to construction site work, forklift operation, mechanical knowledge, and use of personal protective equipment.

Skills

• Proven experience in construction site environments with a strong understanding of safety procedures.
• Expertise in TIG welding with additional skills in MIG welding (Metal Inert Gas) and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding).
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for precise fabrication.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and other fabrication machinery.
• Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to welding and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with crane operation, rigging techniques, forklift handling, and pipe threading for heavy-duty projects.
• Mechanical knowledge including machining processes, ductwork fabrication, soldering techniques, and schematic interpretation.

Pay: Up to $45.00 per hour
