We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support two hotel properties in Fredericksburg, VA. This role requires prior hotel maintenance experience and a solid working knowledge of general maintenance disciplines, including plumbing, electrical, drywall repair, carpentry, and pool operations (CPO certification preferred).
The Maintenance Engineer must be able to work independently, accurately diagnose issues, and complete repairs in a timely and professional manner. Core responsibilities include performing quarterly preventative maintenance in all guest rooms, conducting major mechanical inspections and repairs, and maintaining hotel equipment. Additional duties may include exterior building upkeep, supporting the hotel's risk‑management and safety programs, and overseeing third‑party contractors to ensure work is completed to brand and company standards.
Guest and associate safety is a top priority. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and well‑maintained environment in accordance with all hotel policies and procedures.
