Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and customer support.
Curve Nail Studio – Receptionist Duties & Responsibilities Front Desk & Customer Service
- Greet every client warmly upon arrival
- Check clients in and confirm appointment details
- Offer beverages (ex: water, tea, Vietnamese coffee) when available
- Maintain a clean, welcoming front desk and lobby area
- Answer questions about services, pricing, nail care, and aftercare
- Handle customer concerns with patience and professionalism
Appointments & Scheduling
- Book appointments by phone, walk-ins, and online systems
- Confirm appointments daily (text, phone, or system reminders)
- Manage technician schedules and adjust timing when needed
- Communicate wait times clearly if behind schedule
- Note client preferences (technician requests, allergies, design notes)
Point of Sale & Inventory
- Process payments accurately (cash, card, tips)
- Offer add-ons and retail products when appropriate
- Track low inventory and notify the manager (polish, acetone, nail tips, drinks, towels etc.)
- Restock retail shelves and front desk supplies
Salon Operations
- Maintain cleanliness of front desk, retail area, and waiting space
- Ensure music, lighting, and lobby atmosphere are pleasant
- Maintain a quiet, relaxing environment
- Assist nail techs when needed (check-ins, cleaning stations turnover timing awareness)
Communication & Reviews
- Respond to texts, calls, and social media/Google inquiries professionally
- Encourage happy clients to leave Google reviews
- Notify manager of any negative feedback or issues immediately
- Help draft review responses when needed
Daily Tasks
- Open and close the register
- Confirm technician schedules and daily bookings
- Check voicemail and messages
- Tidy reception and restock drinks/marketing materials
- End-of-day summary to owner/manager if required
Key Skills Needed
- Friendly, patient, and professional attitude
- Organized and good at multitasking
- Comfortable with booking systems and POS (Fresha)
- Good communication skills
- Problem solver under busy situations
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Base Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 per week
