Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items with precision, consistency, and flair, including eggs, pancakes, breakfast meats, and more
- Follow standardized recipes and menu plans to ensure quality and presentation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with food handling, portion control, and proper storage of ingredients to minimize waste
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting new breakfast options or improvements based on guest feedback
- Ensure all food preparation meets health regulations and safety standards at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required; culinary experience in fine dining or restaurants is highly valued
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills, including knife skills and meal assembly techniques
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, handling procedures, and sanitation practices in a commercial kitchen environment
- Experience with menu planning, catering, or serving in a food industry setting is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
- Prior kitchen experience involving food industry standards or culinary training is highly desirable
