Shape the power backbone of a world-class facility in Pittsburgh (Cheswick), PA Picture your week: you kick off Monday huddling with the Facilities Manager to prioritize upgrades. By mid-morning, you’re reviewing SKM studies for coordination and arc-flash, then walking the plant with in-house electricians and contractors to plan a small construction project. Midweek, you finalize preventive and predictive maintenance instructions, align schedules to minimize downtime, and submit a well-justified appropriation request. By Friday, you’ve resolved a breaker nuisance trip, tuned the PM program based on root-cause findings, and ensured our systems align with NEC and NFPA 70/70B/70E. What you’ll do Coordinate day-to-day facilities operations and production support across the site.Author clear work instructions for preventive and predictive maintenance programs.Prepare and justify capital/appropriation requests; manage projects through contractors and internal electricians.Analyze drawings, reports, and performance data to optimize layouts, systems, and quality controls.Plan and oversee facility expansions, equipment installations, and small construction projects.Build and manage maintenance schedules for infrastructure and equipment; balance resources for minimal disruption.Drive compliance with federal, state, and local codes and regulations in a cost-conscious way.Investigate equipment failures and facility emergencies; implement corrective and preventive actions.Design electrical installations and improvements across distribution from 25 kV down to 208/120 V.Run short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash analysis using SKM.Apply NFPA 70, 70B, and 70E; interpret and implement NEC and applicable standards.Support low-voltage infrastructure: network cabling (fiber and copper), fire alarm, security, and camera systems. What you bring U.S. citizenship (required due to DoD requirements).Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances and approvals.BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.2 years of facilities engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.Hands-on CAD proficiency for design and documentation.Depth in codes/standards: NEC, NFPA 70/70B/70E, and related regulations.
