🎭 Do you sing in Chinese — and dream of performing on a New York stage?
Nihao Broadway! is a cabaret showcase series created by and for artists who sing in Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, and other Chinese dialects. Whether you are Chinese, Chinese American, or from any background — if you sing in Chinese, this stage is for you.
Featuring a blend of musical theater repertoire and Chinese-language songs, the evening celebrates artists who move between languages, cultures, and traditions, telling stories that belong to both Broadway and beyond.
This is your chance to perform at The Green Room 42, one of NYC's premier cabaret venues in the heart of the Theater District, with a professional music director and a full video recording of your performance.

Creative Team
Mijiang “M-Jay” He – Artistic Director / Producer
M-Jay is a New York–based theatre director, choreographer, and performer working across musical theatre and international collaborations. His work bridges Chinese and American theatre communities through stage productions, musical theatre development, and cross-cultural performance initiatives.
Theatrical credits include: CATS (China Tour), A Christmas Story (U.S. Tour), Miss Saigon, Kinky Boots, Billy Elliot, Mamma Mia!, Anything Goes.
He is the founder of CurtainRise International and the creator of Nihao Broadway!, a platform dedicated to amplifying cross-cultural voices in musical theatre.
Andrew Smithson – Music Director
Andrew Smithson is a veteran music director and vocal coach with decades of experience in musical theatre. His credits include national tours such as A Christmas Story, Aida, Legally Blonde, Gypsy, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He has served as music director for numerous regional productions, including A Chorus Line, Once on This Island, and The Producers.
