Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Venice, FL, for a Diesel Mechanic. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment. Day-to-day tasks include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and completing necessary repairs to ensure vehicles and equipment operate safely and efficiently. The role also involves adherence to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding and experience in Diesel Mechanics and Heavy Equipment repair
- Proficiency in Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance, and Preventive Maintenance tasks
- Ability to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and practices in automotive repair
- Experience with tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair techniques for diesel engines
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications are an advantage
