What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Railcar Technician: First Shift position at Curry Rail Services?
General Responsibilities
- Limited travel required. Must have a valid Driver's License and be at least 25 years of age.
- Works safely around heavy equipment, railcars, and railroad tracks.
- Coordinates and completes all railcar repairs and maintenance.
- Interprets job work orders and follows blueprints / schematics to perform required repairs.
- Utilizes basic mechanical skills and builds knowledge of machines and tools to weld, cut and gouge.
Essential Duties
Notifies of any materials and/or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasks.
- Follows all safety rules, keeps work area clean and complies with all Environmental, Health and Safety policies.
- Ensure FRA, AAR and customer quality standards are met.
- Completes any other duties as assigned in order to complete the task.
Ancillary Duties:
1. Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.
Experience:
2 years of welding and tank car experience preferred.
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
