Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks including manual transmission and automatic tractor-trailers tank deliveries.
- Load and unload freight efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations, including hours-of-service rules and safety protocols.
- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules while adhering to safety standards.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any issues promptly.
- Communicate with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, or any unforeseen delays or incidents.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on route driving over long distances.
- Hands-on experience operating manual transmission trucks and tank type such as trailers.
- Knowledge of trucking regulations and safety standards applicable to commercial driving.
