What You’ll Do

As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in shaping project success by developing accurate, competitive, and well-supported estimates. Your success will be measured by estimate accuracy, clarity of scope, risk awareness, and effective collaboration with Sales, Operations, and Project Management.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for industrial construction projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to clearly define scope
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Project Management during pre-construction
• Identify project risks, assumptions, and exclusions clearly within each estimate
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and scope clarification discussions
• Maintain organized estimate files, takeoffs, and supporting documentation
• Support bid reviews and handoffs to Operations and Project Management
• Continuously improve estimating accuracy through post-project review and feedback
• Uphold Curry Construction’s values in all pricing and communication

We’re seeking estimators who take pride in their work, sweat the details, and understand the real-world impact of their numbers.

Preferred Qualifications & Success Indicators:

• Proven experience preparing construction estimates with accountability for accuracy
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications with confidence
• Working knowledge of labor productivity, materials, and construction means and methods
• Experience in industrial construction preferred, or comparable commercial construction experience
• Proficiency with estimating software and Excel (specific platforms a plus)
• Ability to communicate scope, risks, and assumptions clearly to internal teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism aligned with Curry Construction’s core values
• Valid driver’s license

Competitive salary range of $85,000–$110,000, based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated estimating capability.
