The Exercise Science Program at Curry College is accepting applications for Part-Time Associate Lecturers that can teach the lecture course, Performance Nutrition in Exercise and Sport beginning Spring 2026. The Associate Lecturer will teach undergraduates, in-person, at our Milton, MA campus.
Part-time faculty are responsible for planning and presenting the material assigned for their course. This includes edits to Syllabus, presenting educational material in a clear/manageable fashion, creating an active learning environment, and examination/grading in a timely manner.
Part-time faculty are expected to work collaboratively with faculty in the department to ensure consistent course delivery.
Screening and review of candidate application materials will begin immediately and will be ongoing.
Responsibilities:
- The associate lecturer will teach the course, Performance Nutrition in Exercise and Sport, to Undergraduate students in person at our Milton location;
- This is a 3 credit course;
- Part-Time, Associate Lecturers are expected to work collaboratively with faculty in the department to ensure consistent course delivery;
- Associate Lecturers must use the College's learning management system, Canvas, to post syllabus, assignments, grades and other materials to actively communicate with students;
- Office hours are to be expected as well as timely communication/response to members of the college as well as students.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Master's Degree in Nutrition or a closely related field is required.
- Minimum of one year teaching experience in higher education is preferred.
- Minimum of two years professional experience working in the field of Nutrition or Exercise Science is required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Master's Degree in a relevant discipline such as Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, Dietician or related science with nutritional background such as Sports Medicine with Concentration in Nutrition
- The Department is seeking candidates with a strong clinical experience within Nutrition or a closely related field
- Experience teaching at the higher education level is preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Salary:
$3,735 per 3 credit course
