What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Manager position at Current Openings?
The role will include, but is not limited to, the following functions:
- Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility.
- Focus on increasing production, capacity, and flexibility, while minimizing costs, adhering to established quality standards, and consistently meeting shipping requirements.
- Meet financial objectives and goals by forecasting requirements and supporting the annual budget process.
- Drive continuous improvement projects through out all plant functional groups.
- Responsible for assuring customer satisfaction through lead time, on-time delivery, and product quality.
- Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Foster and promote a positive, safe, and healthy work environment for all employees.
- Provide training and educational materials to staff as necessary.
- Direct oversight of plant-based department/functional managers, including but not limited to production, quality, materials, and human resources.
- Work with company directors to roll out and create buy in of company-wide initiatives.
- Responsible for determining facility staffing levels, approving expenditures, preparing and filing internal and external reports.
- Serves as primary customer contact at the plant level.
