Launch Engineer

 Throughout the Gardner family’s ownership of Superior Trim, we have made, and continue to make, significant investments to ensure that Superior Trim has all of the appropriate technologies in-house and available to produce cost-competitive, high-quality interior and exterior trim products for medium/heavy duty trucks and other commercial vehicles that our customers expect

Superior Trim Tennessee is looking to add a driven, self-directed Launch Engineer to our team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•    Assist Superior Trim Tennessee to ensure new models launch in a timely, risk-free manner.
•    Design; provide machine equipment jig, tooling, and packaging for new model.
•    Intermediary between customer and tool shop, including on-site visits.
•     Assist Superior Trim Tennessee in creating plant lay-out, line layout, process flow, material flow for the launch.       
•    Verify and control the process cycle time, output, reject rate, process capabilities until mass production.
•    Lead and follow up with the team to make new model timing plan.
•    Provide the efficiency of manufacturing method to achieve the company target and customer requirement.
•    Support the plant with training, BOM setup, materials and other launch items.
•    Deliver the sustainable manufacturing STD to production line via work instruction, and all documentation.

A successful applicant will have: 

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, or equivalent
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous ERP/MRP systems experience, previous experience with Plex a plus
