Throughout the Gardner family’s ownership of Superior Trim, we have made, and continue to make, significant investments to ensure that Superior Trim has all of the appropriate technologies in-house and available to produce cost-competitive, high-quality interior and exterior trim products for medium/heavy duty trucks and other commercial vehicles that our customers expect
Superior Trim Tennessee is looking to add a driven, self-directed Launch Engineer to our team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist Superior Trim Tennessee to ensure new models launch in a timely, risk-free manner.
- Design; provide machine equipment jig, tooling, and packaging for new model.
- Intermediary between customer and tool shop, including on-site visits.
- Assist Superior Trim Tennessee in creating plant lay-out, line layout, process flow, material flow for the launch.
- Verify and control the process cycle time, output, reject rate, process capabilities until mass production.
- Lead and follow up with the team to make new model timing plan.
- Provide the efficiency of manufacturing method to achieve the company target and customer requirement.
- Support the plant with training, BOM setup, materials and other launch items.
- Deliver the sustainable manufacturing STD to production line via work instruction, and all documentation.
A successful applicant will have:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, or equivalent
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous ERP/MRP systems experience, previous experience with Plex a plus
