We are looking for a creative, social-media-savvy Part-Time Social Media Content Creator to help grow our presence across social platforms, with an initial focus on TikTok and TikTok Shop.

This is a hands-on content creation role for someone who understands what makes short-form social content engaging and is excited to experiment with new ideas, formats, hooks, and trends. You do not need years of professional social media experience—we are more interested in your ability to create compelling content and your understanding of platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.

This is a great opportunity for a college student, recent graduate, or early-career content creator looking to gain real-world experience creating content for established consumer brands and e-commerce businesses.

What You'll Do

• Create, film, edit, and post engaging short-form video content, primarily for TikTok.
• Consistently create and publish short-form video content, with an initial goal of approximately 3–5 videos per week and the opportunity to increase content volume as workflows are established.
• Identify emerging TikTok and social media trends and determine how they can be adapted appropriately for our brands and products.
• Create product-focused and shoppable content to help grow our TikTok Shop presence.
• Work with a rotating assortment of company products, allowing you to quickly develop and test new content ideas.
• Bring fresh ideas and a strong social-first perspective to how we present our products and brands.
• Review basic performance metrics—including views, engagement, product clicks, Shop traffic, conversion, and sales—and use those insights to improve future content.
• Work with our internal team to understand featured products, promotions, inventory priorities, brand standards, and other business considerations.
• Maintain a consistent content schedule and meet agreed-upon production goals.

What We're Looking For

• A strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and short-form video content.
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging social content. This can include personal, academic, freelance, or professional work.
• Comfortable filming and editing short-form video content using a smartphone and/or common editing tools.
• Creative and willing to experiment with different ideas and approaches.
• Able to recognize social trends and translate them into relevant content rather than simply copying what is trending.
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple content projects.
• Reliable, organized, and able to consistently meet content deadlines.
• Interest in marketing, communications, digital media, advertising, e-commerce, content creation, or a related field.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to receive feedback and adjust content based on performance.

TikTok Shop or e-commerce experience is a plus, but not required.

Education & Experience

A specific degree or number of years of professional experience is not required. We welcome applicants who are currently pursuing a degree, are recent graduates, or have developed their content creation skills independently.

For this position, what you can create is more important to us than how many years you have worked in social media.
