Job Description
The Eastern US Sales Manager for Life Safety is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the sales strategy for Life Safety Equipment to Current customers.
In the role of Eastern US Sales Manager for Life Safety, you will utilize your strong sales and technical knowledge, marketing expertise, and applied analytics to solve problems, develop and execute objectives, and impact business goals. You will be responsible for growing sales of a very strong portfolio of life safety products from our Dual-Lite with customers, Current’s agents and key accounts.
The candidate will be a major key contributing member of the life safety and C&I sales management team. They will deliver through influence-based leadership and a mature understanding of the market and customer needs.
Due to the territory covering the Northeast and Southeast, the position can be located in the following markets: New York, NY / Philadelphia, PA / Baltimore, MD / Boston, MA / Newark, NJ.
Essential Functions
- Be the sales expert and leader for Life Safety Products including Emergency Exits, EmergencyLightingand Inverters.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
- Plan and coordinate the annual sales and commission plans to drive profitable growth and enhance market competitiveness.
- Analyze sales and marketing data to develop sales strategies and initiatives.
- Partner with sales management leadership to develop the sales pipeline and forecast projections for new business.
- Establish relationships withCustomers,Agentsand Key Accounts
- Develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of company product offerings,qualifyand prioritize opportunities.
- Conduct webinars, seminars, demonstrations, etc.in order togenerate, develop, and qualify leads for prospective customers.
- Develop financial justifications, prepare proposals, make presentations, and perform necessary follow-up for successful closing of the sale.
- Maintain established accounts through regular customer contact in pursuit offollow-onsales.
- Report out monthly on pipeline progress and sales metrics.
- Participate in trade shows, special productdemonstrationsand other events with theobjectiveof increasing sales and enhancing Current’s image in the market.

Qualifications
- Business, BS, or Eng. Degree. MBA is a plus.
- Requires high energy, assertiveness, and self-motivated individual to work in a fast-paced technical and business environment with limited direction.
- Requiresstrong communicationskills andcross-functionalbreadth to provide strong leadership and direction to product teams.
- Strong analytical and statistical data-driven skills. Must be able to develop and present new product business cases, cost/benefit analysis, economic modeling, and resourcing plans.
- Strong planning, problem solving, and analytical skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Able to articulate a value proposition to a customer.

- Previoussales management experience
- Previousexperience with Life Safety products including Emergency Exits, EmergencyLightingand Inverters
- Previousexperience Electrical & Life Safety Codes.
- PreviousExperience working with the lighting agent model.
- Previousexperience with the electrical distribution channel.
- Experience in controls and device automation industry.
- Experience in the lighting or building automation industry.
- Experience working withgeographically dispersedteams.
Compensation
The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is $120,000-$145,000.
