What are the responsibilities and job description for the Powersports Small Engine Technician (ATVs, Side-by-sides) position at Curren Powersports?
Curren Powersports is a family owned and operated dealer in Pine City, NY. We carry a variety of products including ATVs, SXSs, Motorcycles, Compact Tractors, Utility Trailers, Dump Trailers, Equipment Trailers, Cargo Trailer, and Car Trailers. We are the #1 CFMoto dealer in NY and #8 in the USA.
We have an opening for a full time Small Engine Technician. We are looking for someone hard working with good attention to detail. The Small Engine Tech is responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, assembly, and installs on a variety of ATVs, Side-by-sides, mowers, and hand held equipment. Experience with trailers (axles, brakes, wiring) or compact tractors / diesel engines a plus. Attention to detail is a must.
Essential Duties:
- Troubleshoot problems
- Follow OEM and Dealership Procedures
- Un-crate and assemble products to manufacturer's specs
- Use OEM parts breakdowns and maintenance guides
- Repair ATVs, Side-by-sides, Lawn Mowers, and other small engines
- Perform regular maintenance
- Perform Quality Control Checks
- Repaint frames, steps, and jacks on trailers
- Apply decals
- Unload and assembly of trailers
- Assist other technicians with repairs
- Document jobs, parts used, and warranty data
- Other tasks as assigned
Skill Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- High School diploma or equivalent or still enrolled
- Attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and work with limited supervision
- Prefer someone with electrical, appliance, or small engine experience
