A global industrial technology company is seeking a Global Category Manager – Engineering Services to lead sourcing strategy and supplier management for global services spend. This role will focus on improving service value, reducing risk, strengthening governance, and supporting more flexible, scalable business models.
This individual will partner with R&D, operations, finance, legal, compliance, and business leaders to develop category strategies, evaluate make-versus-buy opportunities, manage supplier relationships, and ensure services are properly scoped, contracted, measured, and delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage global category strategies for services, including technical and compliance services, professional services, facilities services, logistics, and trade-related services.
Support business transformation by helping teams evaluate internal versus external service delivery models.
Improve demand visibility, service standardization, supplier governance, and contract compliance.
Reduce fragmented buying, unmanaged spend, and off-contract purchasing.
Build and manage a global supplier network aligned with business needs, performance expectations, risk, and scalability.
Negotiate and manage service agreements, including SOW-based and performance-based contracts.
Implement supplier performance metrics, including SLAs, KPIs, business reviews, and continuous improvement plans.
Partner with legal, finance, and compliance teams to ensure contracts and supplier relationships address operational, financial, regulatory, and dependency risks.
Salary : $125,000 - $140,000
