A growing industrial organization is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the safety, reliability, and ongoing improvement of a large operational facility. This individual will be responsible for building systems, facility maintenance, outside service providers, compliance activities, equipment upkeep, and improvement projects.
The ideal candidate has managed facilities within a manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or similarly complex operating environment and is comfortable balancing daily maintenance needs with long-term planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily condition, functionality, and reliability of the facility and its supporting systems.
- Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify repair needs, safety risks, compliance concerns, and improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate maintenance and service support for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, climate-control, fire-protection, security, cleaning, and general building systems.
- Manage outside contractors and service providers, including bid reviews, contract negotiations, work quality, scheduling, and cost control.
- Ensure facility activities comply with applicable safety regulations, environmental requirements, building codes, and internal policies.
- Oversee the maintenance and lifecycle planning of facility and warehouse equipment.
- Manage facility repairs, renovations, equipment replacements, and smaller capital improvement projects.
- Develop and monitor operating and capital budgets related to facility maintenance and improvements.
- Review invoices, monitor contract spending, and identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining dependable operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to inspections, maintenance activity, service agreements, permits, and compliance requirements.
- Use maintenance-management systems to track work orders, assets, service schedules, and performance metrics.
- Support emergency response, business continuity, operational recovery, and facility-related audits.
Salary : $100,000 - $115,000
