Estimator

Position Overview:

A growing manufacturer of custom architectural and fabricated products is seeking an experienced Estimator to support its sales and production operations. This position will prepare accurate pricing for non-standard and made-to-order products by reviewing technical drawings, specifications, photographs, written requests, and other project documentation.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in estimating, construction materials, metal fabrication, or manufacturing and is comfortable communicating directly with customers and internal sales teams to clarify project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, photographs, emails, and other documents to determine project scope and pricing requirements.
• Develop accurate and timely estimates for custom and non-standard manufactured products.
• Identify missing information, potential scope conflicts, and technical concerns before finalizing quotes.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams to obtain measurements, specifications, quantities, and other project details.
• Prepare and distribute completed proposals and pricing documentation.
• Provide technical and estimating support to sales representatives and other estimators.
• Maintain organized records of pricing assumptions, project requirements, and quote revisions.
• Work closely with manufacturing and operations teams to confirm material, labor, and production considerations.
• Assist with improving estimating processes, tools, and standards.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of estimating experience within construction, manufacturing, fabrication, architectural products, or a related industry.
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical project documents.
• Experience estimating custom or non-standard products.
• Understanding of material, labor, fabrication, and production costs.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with customers.
• Ability to manage multiple quote requests while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
