Electrical Engineer – High Voltage / X-Ray Systems

Position Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, testing, troubleshooting, and improvement of high-voltage systems used in x-ray tubes, integrated x-ray sources, and voltage multiplier assemblies. This position works closely with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers to develop reliable products and solve real-world technical problems.

This is a hands-on engineering role in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with both analog and digital electronics, troubleshooting hardware issues at the bench, and supporting products throughout development and production. Experience with high-voltage systems is valuable, but practical problem-solving ability and a willingness to learn are equally important.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, evaluate, and support electrical circuits and assemblies used in high-voltage and x-ray systems
  • Troubleshoot analog and digital electronic systems at the component and system level
  • Work closely with manufacturing and test personnel to resolve production and field-related issues
  • Support integration and compatibility efforts with high-voltage power supplies and customer systems
  • Develop and improve grounding, shielding, and noise reduction methods for reliable system performance
  • Assist with surge suppression, conducted immunity, and EMI-related troubleshooting
  • Perform electrical testing and validation using standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and high-voltage probes
  • Create and maintain schematics, BOMs, test procedures, and engineering documentation
  • Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities
  • Support product development from prototype through production release
  • Assist with compliance and quality activities related to ISO9001, CE, IEC61000, and related standards
  • Work with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, mechanical engineering, quality, and suppliers

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 2 years of engineering or technical experience in electronics, manufacturing, or product development
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with analog and digital electronics
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
  • Experience using standard electrical test equipment
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with both engineering and production teams
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on laboratory and manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high-voltage systems, power electronics, or x-ray equipment
  • Familiarity with grounding, shielding, EMI/EMC, or noise mitigation techniques
  • Experience with voltage multipliers or high-voltage insulation practices
  • Exposure to surge suppression or conducted immunity testing
  • Familiarity with compliance standards such as CE, IEC61000, or ISO9001
  • Experience with circuit simulation or PCB layout tools
  • Experience supporting products in a manufacturing environment

Working Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in both office and laboratory/manufacturing environments
  • Regular interaction with high-voltage equipment and x-ray producing devices
  • Use of appropriate safety equipment is required
  • Ability to lift and handle equipment up to 50 lbs with or without assistance
  • Occasional travel may be required for customer or supplier support

Why Join Us

  • Work on advanced high-voltage and x-ray technologies
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team
  • Direct impact on product performance and customer success
  • Opportunities for hands-on engineering and technical growth

Additional Notes

This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and engineering rigor. The role involves both independent work and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.
