Role Description: This is a part-time, on-site role based at our Orlando, FL location. The team member will guide guests through wine and beer selections, offering recommendations and basic education tailored to guest preferences. Daily responsibilities include supporting wine pairing suggestions with menu items, and assisting guests with the self-pour system as needed. The role involves maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment, restocking products, and supporting retail sales. Team members collaborate closely with colleagues and leadership to uphold Curious Cork’s standards for hospitality, product knowledge, and guest experience.
Qualifications
- Strong wine knowledge, including Wine Pairing and Wine Sales skills; sommelier training, certification, or relevant experience is a plus.
- Background in Food & Beverage service, preferably in wine bars, restaurants, or hospitality-focused environments.
- Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to engage guests of all experience levels in a friendly, professional manner.
- Ability to learn and share beverage education content, including wines, craft beers, and spirits, in an approachable way.
- Reliability and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a part-time schedule.
- Comfort standing and moving for extended periods, and safely handling glassware and beverages.
- Previous experience with point-of-sale systems and retail beverage sales is beneficial.
- Must meet all legal requirements for serving alcohol in the State of Florida (such as age and any required certifications).
