What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate (Hybrid), Line of Business position at Curinos Inc?
Company Description
Curinos empowers financial institutions to put customers at center of every decision. Our AI-first platform transforms proprietary data, advanced analytics and deep financial services expertise into timely recommendations - delivered right where teams work. The result: confident decisions, stronger customer relationships, and lasting, profitable growth.
Curinos operates under a hybrid modality and has office locations in New York, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, and London. This position is based in the New York City metropolitan area.
Job Description
Curinos is seeking an Associate to support the Line of Business (LOB) team. This is a data-first role sitting at the intersection of banking intelligence, analytical storytelling, and business strategy. You will work closely with internal teams to transform complex financial datasets into compelling, client-ready narratives that drive decision-making across the organization — combining the rigor of a data analyst with the communication skills of a strategic advisor.
The ideal candidate is comfortable living in data, has a strong foundation in SQL and quantitative analysis, brings genuine interest in the financial institutions and financial services space, and knows how to make numbers tell a story.
Responsibilities
- Query, clean, and analyze large datasets to surface trends in commercial banking, deposit behavior, and support
- Build client-specific analytical stories — translating data into structured, insight-driven narratives that inform strategic decisions
- Develop polished Excel analyses and PowerPoint deliverables that communicate complex findings clearly to both internal teams and external audiences
- Support hypothesis development and testing through rigorous, numbers-driven analysis
- Contribute to the full analytical lifecycle — from defining the problem and structuring the data to designing the output and presenting the findings
- Collaborate with colleagues across the LOB and partner divisions to ensure Curinos is delivering market-leading insights and solutions
- Identify patterns and opportunities within existing datasets that can inform future workstreams and business development
What to Expect
This role blends analytical depth with strategic communication. You will spend meaningful time in the data — querying, structuring, and analyzing — but equally important is your ability to step back and craft a coherent story from what you find. While you will not be managing client relationships from day one, the work you produce will directly shape client-facing deliverables and you will grow into that external-facing capacity over time.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 (plus Bonus)
Desired Skills & Expertise
- Strong SQL proficiency — you will use it frequently
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills — you will use it daily
- Polished PowerPoint skills and data storytelling ability — translating analysis into clear, executive-ready outputs
- Background in financial services, economics, business analytics, or a related quantitative field
- Genuine interest in financial institutions and financial services — familiarity with commercial banking or deposit analytics is a strong plus but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication — you will need to understand what the numbers mean, not just produce them
Why work at Curinos?
- Competitive benefits, including a range of financial, health, and lifestyle benefits to choose from
- Flexible working options, including home working, flexible hours, and part-time options depending on role requirements
- Unlimited PTO policy, floating holidays, volunteering days, and a day off for your birthday
- Learning and development tools to support your career growth
- Work with industry-leading Subject Matter Experts and specialist products
- Regular social events and networking opportunities
- Collaborative, supportive culture, including an active DE&I program
- Employee Assistance Program providing expert third-party advice on well-being, relationships, legal, and financial matters, as well as access to counseling services
