Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning items under supervision.
- Support the kitchen team by bussing tables, clearing plates, and maintaining a tidy dining area during service.
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Help with basic cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing kitchen surfaces and storage areas.
- Aid in setting up catering or banquet events by organizing supplies and assisting with food presentation.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service hours in restaurant or hospitality settings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, catering, or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Familiarity with food handling safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks comfortably.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Previous experience in banquet settings or hotel environments can be advantageous but is not mandatory.
