Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns proactively to ensure an exceptional dining experience
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations by bussing tables efficiently and adhering to sanitation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for bills, tips, and change
- Support food safety protocols by following proper food handling, sanitation practices, and kitchen safety guidelines
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed during busy periods or for special events such as nightlife or private parties
- Collaborate seamlessly with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations and guest relations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently using techniques like suggestive selling or leveraging tools such as OpenTable for reservations
- Previous experience in host/hostess roles or serving in a nightclub setting is a plus
- Basic math skills for cashiering, bill splitting, and cash handling tasks
- Culinary experience or kitchen support knowledge is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential
