Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our team at our Idaho Falls AND/OR Rexburg locations. As a Massage Therapist, you will provide therapeutic massage treatments to clients to promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. Your expertise in various massage techniques and your ability to assess client needs will be essential in delivering exceptional patient service.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments to determine appropriate massage techniques and treatment plans
- Administer various massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and Swedish massage
- Provide pain management and acute pain relief through targeted massage therapy
- Educate patients on self-care techniques and exercises to enhance treatment outcomes
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Adhere to all occupational health and safety guidelines during treatments
- Continuously expand your knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and massage therapy techniques
Skills:
- Proficiency in trigger point therapy, pain management, and deep tissue massage
- Strong patient assessment skills to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction
- Knowledge of occupational health guidelines to ensure a safe treatment environment
- Ability to perform physical examinations as needed for treatment planning
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to musculoskeletal conditions
- Understanding of anatomy and how it relates to massage therapy
Qualifications:
- Valid Massage Therapist license or certification in the state of Idaho
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Massage Therapist (new graduates with willingness to learn will be considered) We will train you to be the best.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively explain treatment plans to patients
