Tier 3 Network Technician

THE ROLE
As our T3 Network Tech, you are the escalation point. When the T1/T2 team hits a wall, you take over. You also own the projects that keep our clients secure, compliant, and running smoothly.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Respond to and resolve escalated tickets across networking, security, and cloud infrastructure
- Manage and troubleshoot Sophos XGS firewalls, VPNs, and switch configurations (Cisco/Sophos)
- Investigate and remediate security incidents via Huntress EDR and managed AV platforms
- Administer Windows Server (2019 ) Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain services
- Own Microsoft 365 tenant administration: Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Entra ID
- Deploy and manage endpoints through Ninja RMM and N-Able
- Lead PCI compliance audits and guide clients through security controls and documentation
- Support and renew 3CX phone systems; train staff and clients on VoIP best practices
- Conduct quarterly firewall rule audits and monthly Domain Admin group reviews
- Roll out cybersecurity awareness training platforms (Wizer, Inky, Brevo campaigns)
- Perform domain transfers, DNS management, and email authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC)
- Troubleshoot WAN/LAN connectivity, Wi-Fi stability, and ISP escalation for client sites
- Maintain and monitor NOC camera systems and physical infrastructure
- Mentor junior techs and provide hands-on training on new tools and procedures
- Go onsite to client locations within a 100-mile radius (company vehicle provided)
TECH STACK YOU WILL TOUCH
- Security: Sophos XGS, Huntress EDR, DNS filtering, Inky email security
- RMM/PSA: NinjaRMM, N-Able, ConnectWise/Autotask ticketing
- Microsoft: Windows Server, Active Directory, M365, Exchange Online, Entra ID, SQL Server
- Networking: Cisco switches/firewalls, Sophos firewalls, VPN (site-to-site and client)
- VoIP: 3CX phone systems
- Other: FileMaker, TruGrid, Citrix/Terminal Services, security awareness platforms
REQUIREMENTS
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in networking, systems administration, or MSP support
- Solid understanding of firewalls, VPNs, Active Directory, and Windows Server environments
- Experience with at least one RMM platform (Ninja, N-Able, Datto, etc.)
- College degree in IT, MCSE, A , Network , or equivalent certifications
- Strong client communication skills — you will talk directly to business owners and end users
- Able to pass a criminal background check (no felonies or misdemeanors)
NICE TO HAVE
- Previous MSP or managed services experience
- Familiarity with Sophos, Huntress, or 3CX specifically
- PCI or compliance audit experience
- Remote work track record with verifiable references (required if remote)
