Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including assembling ingredients and basic cooking support as needed
- Operate POS systems such as Toast POS for retail sales transactions and order processing
- Manage customer orders efficiently at the counter, ensuring accuracy and prompt service
- Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity
- Upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the workspace, including food handling areas, kitchen equipment, and dining surfaces
- Support food safety management practices by adhering to sanitation standards and proper food handling procedures
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, and other small appliances
- Ensure a quick service environment by managing time effectively during busy periods
- Assist with inventory checks and restocking supplies to keep the workspace organized and ready for service
Experience
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is preferred but not required
- Food service experience demonstrating familiarity with customer interactions and order management is advantageous
- Basic math skills for cash handling, POS transactions, and order calculations are essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry is preferred
- Strong time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
- Customer service experience that highlights effective communication and friendly demeanor in fast-paced settings
