About Us
Curate Performing Arts Academy (soon to be Zanaty Performance Company) is a growing performing arts organization in Hoover, AL dedicated to helping young performers discover confidence, creativity, and community through the arts. We’re expanding our private voice program this spring and are seeking passionate, encouraging instructors to join our team under seasonal contracts — perfect for college students, vocal coaches, or early-career musicians seeking flexible part-time work.
Position Overview
We’re seeking a Vocal Instructor to teach private beginner and youth-level voice lessons, focusing on foundational technique, pitch control, tone development, and confidence in performance.
Instructors are contracted seasonally as independent contractors. ZPC manages lesson scheduling, enrollment, and payments, while instructors are responsible for student engagement, lesson planning, and consistent progress tracking.
Responsibilities
- Teach private, one-on-one voice lessons for beginner and youth students
- Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to each student’s goals and level
- Provide clear instruction in vocal health, technique, and performance skills
- Maintain regular communication with students and parents
- Support ZPC’s performance and showcase opportunities when applicable
- Collaborate with ZPC leadership to ensure program consistency and quality
Qualifications
- Background in vocal performance, music education, or private instruction (certification not required)
- Experience working with children and teens
- Reliable, professional, and able to manage independent scheduling
- Piano or accompaniment ability preferred but not required
Contract Details
- Independent Contractor Role – not an employee position
- Contracts are issued by season (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter)
- Renewal opportunities available for returning instructors
- Pay and hours determined by lesson enrollment
