Director, Product Design
We’re hiring a Director, Product Design to join a high-impact team within a complex environment. This is a hands-on leadership role, our Directors stay close to the work, so a strong portfolio is essential. You’ll be focused on designing complex, system-driven products while driving intuitive, user-centered experiences. This role is ideal for someone who blends strategy with execution and thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll lead with a user-first mindset, using research and insights to shape thoughtful design decisions. A big part of your work will involve mapping end-to-end user journeys across customers, operations, and internal systems to uncover pain points and opportunities for improvement. You’ll design complex web interfaces and workflows, creating intuitive layouts, navigation patterns, and interaction models that simplify complicated systems. Attention to detail is key, including how micro-interactions and motion enhance usability. At a systems level, you’ll contribute to and evolve design systems to ensure consistency and scalability across products. You’ll take complex requirements and translate them into clear, user-friendly solutions.
Collaboration & Leadership
You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align design with business goals and technical constraints. Strong communication and storytelling are critical, you’ll need to clearly articulate your design thinking and bring others along in the vision.
You’ll also mentor designers, provide thoughtful feedback, and help raise the overall quality of design across the team while fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with 12 years of experience in product design, with a strong background designing complex systems and leading impactful work. A portfolio is required and should clearly demonstrate your design craft, systems thinking, and ability to deliver high-quality user experiences. This can be shared via Figma, PDF, or a personal site.
