Key Responsibilities
- Assist with all ADLs, including personal care, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene.
- Engage the client in conversation, hobbies, and light walks (when appropriate).
- Prepare light, nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support in a safe, nurturing environment.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client’s condition to the care team promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space for the client.
- Prior experience working with seniors, especially individuals with dementia.
- Demonstrated skill in redirection and de-escalation techniques.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable with strong communication skills.
- Physically able to assist with mobility and personal care.
- Comfortable around household pets.
- Must be reliable, professional, and attentive to client needs.
- Schedule: Live-in coverage, with breaks and rest periods compliant with state and federal labor laws. The client’s family will also provide daily relief as needed.
