The Sr. Manager, Compliance will ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures, review process maps and supporting standard operating procedures. What You’ll Do: Maintain thorough knowledge of IL state and local jurisdictions cannabis laws and regulations Review process maps and standard operating procedures for business partners against regulatory requirements Maintain compliance document retention programs and keep corporate compliance updated on all compliance matters and risk escalation as necessary Conduct risk assessments, inspections/audits, investigations and internally review processes Act as the state compliance lead with state and local regulators and Curaleaf staff Maintain a clean and organized work environment Willingness to complete required and recommended training Collaborate and advise other departments such as Operations, Retail, DEC, HR/P&C, Sales and Marketing on risk What You’ll Bring: Experience in federal or state controlled-substance regulatory compliance management General knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements Proficient in spreadsheet and data management software, particularly EXCEL Experience in staff development desired Be able to pass a background check and obtain IDFPR and IDOA Agent Cards Excellent time-management skills and organizational skills Superior verbal and written communication skills Ability to effectively plan and prioritize Ability to act with a sense of urgency Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to focus; attention to detail Skills at using computers, web browsers, Metrc and other software systems such as C-15, Simplifya and Monday.com Absolute reliability and honesty.
