Cura is looking for an Admissions Coordinator to join our team. This is a Hybrid Remote position, we have 3 offices, Tulsa, OKC, and Sallisaw. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the intake process for new clients, including gathering and verifying information, completing paperwork, and providing initial assessments. The Admissions Coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and ensuring that all relevant information is communicated to the appropriate staff members. This position could be remote or at one of our regional offices.
Job Duties:
- [RTA] Obtains patient demographics, health and physical notes and clinical documentation pertinent to the RTA process, obtain physician orders with signature and coordinate with referral sources to establish an evaluation and admission of the patient.
- Verify and run benefits for certification periods and completes prior authorizations as needed to initiate approval for an admission.
- Builds and maintains strong referring relationships via remote/centralized system.
- Works with the growth team on the hand off of the RTA process.
- Follows the appropriate steps to complete the RTA process through the company software so that all responsible parties are notified and patients can be evaluated and admitted promptly.
- Schedules admissions with the admitting nurse.
- This position is to serve with urgency and accuracy in establishing a scheduled admission.
Essential Functions:
- Receives and processes referral information on patients referred for hospice care to be utilized in the admission process for determining eligibility of hospice services. Initiates the coordination of services for new admissions as needed, such as securing the necessary durable medical equipment and supplies.
- Determine verification/pre-authorization of impeding claims by coordination with the payer source of each hospice patient.
- Participates as needed in end of month billing, including triple check to ensure accuracy and completion of required admission documentation with support of the Clinical Director or Regional Compliance Nurse/QA.
