Key Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, nursing stations, restrooms, and dining areas thoroughly following established healthcare and nursing home sanitation protocols.
- Properly handle and dispose of waste materials in compliance with facility and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping equipment and storage areas.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the maintenance team or supervisors.
- Follow strict infection control procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with laundering linens and residents' clothing as required.
- Collaborate closely with nursing and support staff to ensure a clean and safe environment supportive of resident care.
- Comply with all regulatory guidelines concerning nursing home upkeep and safety standards.
- Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in healthcare or nursing home settings.
- Knowledge of appropriate cleaning solutions, infection control, and sanitation best practices in a healthcare environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical capability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
- Understanding of nursing home regulations and safety protocols is a plus.
