Responsibilities- Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers effectively.
- Manage communications by answering calls, relaying messages, and responding to inquiries promptly.
- Maintain accurate patient records and unit logs, ensuring data confidentiality.
- Schedule appointments, tests, and procedures in collaboration with clinical staff.
- Order and track medical supplies and maintain inventory levels.
- Facilitate a positive, organized unit environment that supports clinical functions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional medical or administrative training is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Health Unit Coordinator or in medical administrative roles is advantageous.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and healthcare documentation processes.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Computer literacy, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts as required by the healthcare unit.
