TITLE: On-Call Locksmith
SALARY: $39.45 Per Hour

FTE: 1.00 (8 hours/day)
HOURS: 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (Hours subject to modification)
YEAR: Part Time

BASIC FUNCTIONS: Under direction of the Manager, Maintenance and Grounds Operations, perform a variety of general locksmith tasks at an assigned District facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works from a prepared work schedule.
2. Installs, maintains, repairs, and adjusts all types of locks and door closers.
3. Maintains inventory of locks, fastening devices and replacement parts.
4. Carries out verbal and written instructions.
5. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Demonstrated experience and training to ensure successful performance.
2. Knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in the locksmith trade.
3. Knowledge of all types of locks, fastening devices and related hardware.
4. Ability to rekey locks.
5. Ability to pass District physical Class IV examination and maintain physical standards to carry out job requirements.
6. Possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license.
