Duties
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and transactions
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service
- Assist customers with product inquiries, demos, and upselling to enhance sales
- Maintain merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked and organized
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves and organizing inventory
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and courteously
- Promote store promotions, sales, and loyalty programs effectively
- Maintain cleanliness of the checkout area and ensure a welcoming environment
- Follow phone etiquette standards when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
- Support team members in achieving sales goals through effective communication and teamwork
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math skills
- Strong communication skills, including clear phone etiquette
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base
- Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Friendly demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous
