Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling.
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, and seating areas to ensure food safety and a hygienic environment.
• Manage food handling and food preparation tasks in accordance with food safety guidelines.
• Process cash transactions efficiently while balancing cash registers at the end of shifts using retail math skills.
• Support beverage service and drink presentation to enhance the overall customer experience with timely delivery.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Barista or in food service with a strong understanding of beverage preparation techniques.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient sales processing.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods without compromising quality.
• Basic math proficiency for cash handling, register balancing, and retail math calculations.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a café or food industry setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail in food preparation and cleaning tasks.
